Ben “Smooth” Henderson is scheduled to defend his UFC Lightweight Champion against former champ Frankie Edgar in the main event at UFC 150 on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. This is a rematch from UFC 144 in Japan where Henderson defeated Edgar by unanimous decision for the UFC Lightweight championship and will mark his first defense of the title. Since joining UFC after the UFC/WEC merger, Henderson has went 4-0 and racked up impressive victories over some of the UFC’s best lightweights including Edgar, Mark Bocek, Jim Miller and Clay Guida. Henderson is the second UFC champion of mixed Korean descent, with the first being highly regarded MMA veteran BJ Penn. For more on Ben, check out our March 2010 interview with him.
