BJ Penn vs. Nick Diaz at UFC 137
BJ Penn will be fighting Nick Diaz in the main event match of UFC 137 on October 29, 2011 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be televised live on Pay-Per-View (PPV). Penn is a former Welterweight Champion and is making his third welterweight fight since returning to the weight class from the lightweight division at UFC 123. His last fight was against Jon Fitch at UFC 127 which resulted in a draw (majority). There has been many changes to the fight card as Penn was originally set to face Carlos Condit as a co-main event with Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre to face Diaz. Penn and GSP swapped opponents and just recently GSP had to withdraw from his fight leaving the Penn/Diaz fight as the lone main event.

“Kate Plus 8: College Years” Parody by Michelle Thorn
We recently learned about actress-comedy performer-writer Michelle Thorn’s short video that she wrote and directed titled Kate Plus 8: College Years, which is a parody of the TLC reality show Kate Plus 8. If you don’t know much about the original show (we doubt that there are many that don’t know…), Jon Gosselin is the mixed Korean ex-husband of Kate and father of the children. He was a part of TLC’s hit reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8 from April 2007 until November 2009 prior to the separation and eventual divorce with Kate (the show continued on as Kate Plus 8 until being cancelled in 2011). The premise of the parody is: “Kate Gosselin will not be cancelled. After TLC gave her the boot she found a new network and the show has followed her and the kids all the way to college, ten years later.” The video features eight hapa actors in the roles of the children including Michelle as “Alexis” and fellow mixed Korean Stephanie Kim as “Hannah.” Michelle has performed live at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and has done several other videos. Her other videos can be found on funnyordie.com or ucbcomedy.com. It is a pretty funny parody of the show, so enjoy!
