Ben “Smooth” Henderson is scheduled to fight UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar in the main event at UFC 144 this Sunday, February 26, 2012 (Saturday, February 25 in North America) at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. UFC 144 will be televised live via PPV. The former WEC Lightweight Champion has been on a roll since joining UFC after the UFC/WEC merger with victories over Mark Bocek in April 2011, Jim Miller in August 2011 and most recently against Clay Guida in November 2011. The last victory over Guida cemented Henderson’s spot as a top contender for Edgar’s Lightweight Championship and secured the eventual UFC 144 match-up. If Henderson is successful this weekend, he’ll become the second mixed Korean to hold the UFC Lightweight Championship with the first being highly regarded MMA veteran BJ Penn. Safiya Johnson is a professional fitness competitor and model who competes in the bikini division of the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB).
Safiya followed the footsteps of her older sister Tanji, a well regarded veteran professional fitness competitor, into the pro fitness world. Initially, Safiya entered the fitness division and just recently transitioned over to the bikini division.
We were able to discuss with Safiya about her background, being a professional fitness competitor and much more.

Nyesha Arrington is a competitor on Bravo’s Top Chef: Texas. The current season (season nine) premiered in November and airs on Wednesday nights on Bravo. Here’s some info regarding Top Chef: Texas (From Bravo): It’s a whole new ballgame for the competing chefs on Bravo’s Top Chef: Texas. For the first-time ever, season nine will boast a record 29 chefs — almost double the amount of chefs in season’s past — who will see if they have what it takes to become an official cheftestant and qualify to wear the Top Chef coat. Only 16 will go on to compete across the Lone Star State — in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio. In what will prove to be the most challenging season yet, some of the biggest names in food, music, and entertainment including Charlize Theron, Pee-wee Herman, Cat Cora, John Besh, Tim Love, Patti LaBelle will be featured this season on Top Chef: Texas. Returning to the Judges’ Table is host Padma Lakshmi and head judge, chef Tom Colicchio, alongside judges Gail Simmons and new this season, famed chef and restaurateur Emeril Lagasse and critically-acclaimed chef Hugh Acheson. Nyesha is currently the Executive Chef at Wilshire Restaurant in Santa Monica, California. Along with the show competition, fans can vote for their Top Chef Fan Favorite.
