UFC 164 takes place on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and will feature UFC Lightweight Champion Benson “Smooth” Henderson defending his title in the main event against Anthony Pettis. Henderson last defended his title in April at UFC on FOX 7 against Gilbert Melendez and came away with a split decision victory. The victory gave Henderson three straight successful title defenses which tied fellow mixed Korean BJ Penn for most UFC Lightweight title defenses. The UFC 164 match is highly anticipated due to it being a re-match of their WEC 53 fight in 2010 that ended with Henderson losing his WEC Lightweight title by unanimous decision to Pettis. That was Henderson’s last and only loss in UFC and WEC (he only has two total professional losses against 19 wins). We look forward to Ben removing all memories of that WEC 53 fight (including that kick) and continuing his reign as UFC Lightweight champ!
